While most people might wonder the sense making of this painting, I would just say, it is one of the most significant things I have ever paint!On the same day when God spoke to me about the fire, and about another one of my paintings, He spoke to me as well about "LIFE", how life is began in the secret, in the darkness... although we imagine the formation of life to be majestically and pompous, it actually takes place in a hidden spot inside the body, where we are not aware of, where we cannot see. At some point of time it does become obvious but we don't know its beginning. I was taken away by the impression on my mind for some time, just watching this little egg swimming, so tiny.
So, "LIFE" was conceived. The painting is but a fertilized egg swimming inside the fallopian tube on its way to the endometrium. Life has begun...

I think this is my favourite one so far. There's a lot of depth in it because of the texture around the cell. I love the imagery of life forming in hidden places. It's the same with plant life. I love my garden and I often find myself thinking about how the seed comes to life under the earth, in darkness. It's hard to wait for that little seed to come forth and grow into something beautiful that will bear fruit.
